Why On Blogger 


I started my SEO helper blog on blogger as my very first journey to the world of online content started on Blogger. I researched for something to use for internal communications when I was a regional service manger for a casino supply company.

I had engineers all around the UK and Europe who worked remotely and where constantly ringing up for advice as I used to be an engineer when I started. I was a bloody good one as well, if not the best so thats why they still rang me for advice.

Manager Responsibilities 


I was the manager and I had other things to do, so I created a site with all the manuals I had written previously and uploaded them to my blogger site. So successful was the site that the other offices from around the world wanted their engineers adding.

Moving On 


I have long left that industry and made some money from my Casino affiliate site that still runs today. It makes very little now but I invested some of the money I made in some SEO training. I opted for Yoast as I use their Yoast Plugin and find them to be trust worthy.

I know use that knowledge when I get the time to boost my Cheap Dinner Ideas site. Thats when I get the time as now most of my days are spent doing work on clients site's. Of course I will share all my clients sites and post on here as it gives them a little SEO boost, not much but it all helps

I still have a few to go,  The basic SEO which I skipped but will go back to for the accreditation.  Structured data and Technical SEO which I am about 70% of the way through.

SEO IS Link-Building Still The Be All of SEO

Link Building  Back in the bad old days you could rank any site for absolutely anything by just buying lots of spammy links. It was a simple sometimes automated task that sky rocketed any site. In fact the usual sites were trash, full of rubbish but importantly for the site owner it had something special inside. Something they were selling, something that would make them money no matter what. They came they saw and some bought the product. Keyword Stuffing  Not only did the sites contain dross the pages were so stuffed of the keyword that it dis not make any sense. Hooray for Google for clearing out the crap. Well a small cheer as now its even more difficult to get your site noticed as some sites still live of the legacy of the back linking techniques of old.
