Client Expectations 


All clients want SEO applied to their websites and most want unrealistic results in weeks with a similar unrealistic budget. Every client wants to be on page one of google and not only that they want portion one on page one.

This takes time money and great content, most sites I work on start with average content poorly worded. Some have blog post written by people whose first language is obviously not English. However they still expect a few hours SEO on the cheap and expectation is to be page one. It doesn't work that way. SEO now is holistic, a long term goal.

Yoast SEO Plugin 


Clients either get the free Yoast SEO plugin or purchase the Premium Yoast SEO plugin and expectations immediately raise. The myth of the yoast plugin is if you have green lights you will rank for that keyword.

No you will not immediately or even ever rank for that keyword. The green light only means that on that particular page you have done all you can for that keyword for that page. If your site is of a low trust score or a low authority then the chances of ranking for a hard keyword diminishes along with your hopes.

Gents Of London Barbershop 

An iconic barbershop in London, the owner Pete has realistic expectations but wants results. He first contact me wanting to remove some confusing results of his site links when you googled "Gents Of London"
As you can see below the product of structure cream looks a little confusing.




The reason for this is that he had to many pages and products with the same description. The solution was to 410 a few pages and post and remove the results from google completely.

The next step once its removed from the google results start to add internal links to the one rating page. Hopefully once you have done this along with implementing a good site structure you should begin to see results like this.




A perfect result which resulted in the client rebooking more hours.
